All Saroyan cymbals have two rectangular slots and are packaged in sets of four with 1/2" heavy duty elastic straps for firm control.
Which ones to get?
For beginners we recommend Nefertiti, which has a medium mellow tone or Arabesque which has a medium-high pitch. However, the Arabesque are slightly heavier than the Nefertiti.
The other thing to consider is the guage of the cymbal. This is the measurement of the thickness of a material. Light gauge cymbals are recommended for students because they are lighter and easier to work with. Heavy gauge cymbals are better suited for advanced students, professional dancers, and musicians.
Do they lose their tone?
Saroyans, with normal use, maintain their tone indefinitely due to their aging process.
What is the difference between German silver alloy and solid brass?
The German silver alloy has a higher tone compared to its solid brass counterparts due to the nickel and silver content.
